This course was attended by participants globally; Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Sweden and Israel. |

The course was conducted at IMPACT’s Global HQ by Dr. Eric Cole, PhD, an industry-recognized security expert with over 15 years of hands-on experience. He is also the CTO for the Americas for McAfee, SANS faculty fellow, a course author and is actively involved with the SANS Technology Institute (STI) and SANS. This course was attended by participants globally; United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Palestine, Indonesia, Oman, Brunei and Libya. |

ITU’s Director for Telecommunication Standardization Bureau, Malcolm Johnson visits IMPACT, 29th June 2010
IMPACT hosted ITU’s Director for Telecommunication Standardization Bureau, Malcolm Johnson on the 30th June 2010 at IMPACT’s Global HQ in Cyberjaya. IMPACT is the physical home for ITU’s Global Cybersecurity Agenda (GCA) and Malcolm was updated on the various initiatives that IMPACT has undertaken globally and also future initiatives. IMPACT is also a member of ITU-T SG17 working group and briefed Malcolm on IMPACT’s contributions and areas for future contributions within this working group. |

Malaysian Government Ministries and Agencies led by Malaysian Administrative Modernization & Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) visits IMPACT, 29th June 2010
IMPACT welcomed delegates of 60 officers from various Malaysian Government Ministries and Agencies led by Malaysian Administrative Modernization & Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) to its global headquarters on 29th June 2010. The objective of the visit was to introduce IMPACT as the world’s first non-profit comprehensive global public-private partnership against cyber threats and to explain how partner countries could benefit from IMPACT’s services. |

IMPACT signed MoU with Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) on 18th June 2010 in London.
IMPACT and Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 18th June 2010 in London. This partnership will see IMPACT and CTO working on joint cybersecurity related projects focusing on capacity building to enhance the state of readiness for its constituencies. IMPACT was represented by its Director of Training, Skills Development and Outreach, Mr. Philip Victor and CTO was represented by their Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah.
CTO (www.cto.int) is an international organisation which provides assistance in enabling ICT development for their members in order to achieve social and economic development and bridging the digital divide. CTO’s members are Commonwealth and non-Commonwealth governments, business organisations and civil society organisations. |

Information Technology Authority of Oman visits IMPACT, 8th June, 2010
Oman’s Information Technology Authority (ITA) – an official body affiliated to Oman’s Ministry of National Economy – toured IMPACT’s Global HQ and met with IMPACT’s key management personnel to discuss potential collaboration areas for greater in-country cybersecurity. The ITA is responsible for implementing IT infrastructures and overseeing the Digital Oman Strategy, while providing professional leadership to e-Governance initiatives within the Sultanate. The ITA also oversees Oman National Computer Emergency Readiness Team (OCERT).
The delegation was led by Dr. Salim Sultan Al Ruzaiqi, Chief Executive Officer, ITA. |
