ITU Subregional Telecommunication Ministerial Forum for CLMV Countries, Nha Trang, Vietnam, 10th - 11th December 2009
The ITU Subregional Telecommunication Ministerial Forum for Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and VietNam: “Towards an ICT- strengthened and connected Communications of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Sub-region organised by the International Telecommunication Union and hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (CLMV).
The objective of the Forum was to establish an enabling environment that would facilitate the achievement of an ICT strengthened and connected CLMV subregion. IMPACT participated in this forum and proposed various cybersecurity initiatives in areas of capacity building, cyber threat information sharing and building national incident response teams that would help CLMV countries strengthen their online capacity and readiness. |

Microsoft Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Seminar, IMPACT Global HQ
IMPACT hosted a regional seminar on Critical Information Infrastructure Resiliency that was led by Microsoft leading experts and briefed delegates on critical coordinated strategies and operations, to effectively secure critical information infrastructure. Centred around the importance of public-private partnerships, the seminar saw CEOs, CIOs, policymakers, risk managers and industry sector leads attending the seminar briefed by Microsoft’s top security strategists at the full-day seminar. |

IMPACT - Symantec Media Roundtable Briefing, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
With public sector cybersecurity as a key national, regional and global issue, Symantec hosted a media roundtable and invited Mohd Noor Amin, Chairman, IMPACT Management Board, to be a key panellist at the roundtable to advance discussions on public sector cybersecurity. The event was attended by key print and broadcast media, with talks revolving around the next steps in implementing a broader, more comprehensive cybersecurity strategy for more secure government-citizen transactions. |
