Network Early Warning System (NEWS) is a collaborative mash-up of information from multiple early warning alliances and cybersecurity vendors with the primary objective of getting the right information to the right people on time, in order to make the right decision, so as to help mitigate and effectively respond to cyber threats around the world. Working with leading partners from academia, industry, and international bodies, NEWS provides the global community with real-time aggregated network early warnings. It also manages the access rights, permissions, and information security of the data collected.

Intended to be modelled after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, USA, the GRC’s modus operandi is to create automated threat monitoring through aggregated information streamed to EWS. Current leading industry partners in cybersecurity feed the GRC with a tremendous amount of data related to cyber threats. This collated information is then disseminated to the right people in the partner countries to act upon the threats. In addition to the existing providers, GRC seeks to add more comprehensive data resource providers to the list. With its tremendous amount of cyber threat related data, IMPACT’s NEWS will be the richest knowledge-base of its kind in the world whereby the system operates through a network of sensors across the globe.
